Our sessions take place at our unit in Bathgate. There is ample, free parking, and as you enter the venue you will find changing facilities and plenty of space to leave your belongings before entering the Sensory area. We ask that you please remove your shoes before entering the Sensory area for hygiene purposes (especially for those active babies who like to move and explore!). (In the summer months, we would also ask that you bring some socks to pop on, to avoid bare feet on the mats).

Classes are 1 hour long, and follow your baby’s natural play-rest-play routine, to ensure they are not overstimulated. We will have around 25 minutes of activities followed by a 20 minute break, where you can relax, chat with other parents, and allow babies some ‘free play’ time in our Exploratory Play Area. We then come back together for a final 15 minutes of lead activities.

We explore a different theme each week, however we always begin with our welcome song, "Say Hello To The Sun", which incorporates baby signing.  As the weeks progress, your babies will start to recognise the music and relax, knowing that it's time for Baby Sensory, which is just lovely to see! You will also get to know the words and the signs as well, and this is a lovely way to bond with your baby as we settle into our activities. We end each class with a collective "Wave Goodbye".

If you need to feed or change your baby during the session that is absolutely fine, go for it! You can do this where you are, please don't feel that you have to remove yourself from the action! I would only ask that you wipe up any spills / remove any wipes etc with you when you leave - there is a bin in the toilet, where you will also find a changing table, nappies etc.
