Class Information:

Classes will be held on Wednesday at the Culduthel Christian Centre, Thursday at the Urray and Kilchrist Church Muir of Ord and Friday at The Green Hall, Smithton.

Please see commonly asked questions below:

  • How much does the course cost?
We currently run block bookings but these blocks will vary in length depending on term times. It will cost £7.25 per session (4 week block of classes will cost £29). If you join part of the way though a block of classes you will only be charged for the remaining classes. We offer a discount for twins/siblings so please get in touch and I can give you a discount code.
  • What happens if I can’t attend one week?
If you know you are unable to attend a class please get in touch and I will try and accommodate you in another class where possible or you can offer this to anyone with a baby aged 0-13months.
  • Is my baby too young and what if they fall asleep?
The classes have been designed for babies from birth. Your babies brain doubles in volume during their first year due to sensory learning from birth. Naturally babies may fall asleep when they attend classes so young. However they still passively learn by hearing the different types of music we play which helps them to communicate thoughts, ideas and emotions. As well as offering a whole range of other benefits too, from pain and stress management and improved motor and rhythmic coordination. It all contributes to the positive development of the human brain. They can feel the different textures which stimulates new brain cell connections whilst asleep, so they will still gain so much from the sessions.
  • I’m worried about my baby being unsettled and crying during the class.
Please don’t worry about your baby crying during the class, we are all parents there and understand you are in the right company. You can feed, change, comfort your baby any time during the class. We follow babies natural play-rest-play cycle so they don’t get overstimulated during the sessions. The first 25mins are ran by me in our sensory area with different activities and props, then there is around 15min for their rest period where you can go and use the explorative play area and then return for our last few activities in the sensory area.
  • Is my baby too old?
If you baby is under 13months when the term starts then baby sensory is for you.
  • My baby is mobile can they still join?
Yes absolutely, it is fantastic to see your baby gain confidence and move around the classes. Some classes are aged for older babies 6-13m so you can book them in there and meet other parents with mobile babies similar age and stage to you.

  • Can I bring my toddler?
I am sorry we are unable to have under 5s attend classes due to health and safety with having young babies lying on mats.
