What happens in a class?
Our fabulous Baby Sensory classes are 1 hour long. Every single week there is a brand-new, exciting theme for you and your baby to experience together.
Each class starts with the magical and world-famous ‘Say hello to the sun’ sing and sign song.
This is followed by around 20 minutes of incredible sensory activities to ignite your baby’s senses. All sensory props that you need will be provided. Each carefully structured activity will also include some fantastic information about baby learning and development.
We then have a short 10 minute break in our wonderful Exploratory Play Area. This time is fantastic for our babies- not only to allow them a bit of downtime so they don’t become overstimulated but a chance to play and explore lots of toys that are incredible for their learning and development. This is also a great opportunity to allow you the time to chat with other local families in your area.
Finally, we return for some more fabulous sensory activities before finishing with our beautiful and calming Baby Sensory ‘Wave Goodbye’ song. This song is the perfect way to end class and will hopefully inspire a lovely long post-class nap.
What if?
What if your baby cries? Needs feeding? Needs a nappy change?
Baby Sensory is a wholesome and inclusive environment that is 100% baby led. Whatever you baby’s needs are, we want you to feel comfortable in attending to them. Babies cry. Babies get hungry. Babies do poos. We’ve all been there and every single person who attends Baby Sensory will understand. Get yourself comfortable and enjoy making some fantastic memories in your baby’s first fleeting year.
Reflux, colic, etc…
Speaking as a Mummy who had a little one with severe reflux and tongue-tie, I know personally how worrying taking your little one to class in case their reflux flares up and they become upset. Please note that you and your little one are so welcome to attend classes and know that you are in a safe and welcoming space. As above, we are 100% baby-led and we welcome all babies and want you to feel happy and comfortable attending to your baby’s needs at any point during our classes.
