Please note the below is not currently applicable. 24 Feb 2022

** Please note this is a working document. We are closely following all government guidance and will update this document in line with the most recent guidelines. At present Covid secure regulations does not apply, so no cap on numbers and no masks are required. However should this change at any point we'll revert back to the below.

-          Will classes be the same as before?

Due to the current restrictions we have had to make some changes to our class layout. You will not be sitting close to another parent, but you and baby will have your own mat for the duration of the class. Socially distanced from other parents. Class numbers will be reduced in line with government guidance and venue capacity.

Baby Sensory – the class will be 50 minutes long. The class will still be in 3 parts, starting with sensory activities just like before, followed by a short break from structured activities where you remain on your mat but are welcome to chat to other adults while babies rest, feed or play with the equipment provided. We will then conclude the class with another section of sensory activities. As always classes will be a different theme every week.

-          How will we keep the equipment clean?

You will be given your own bowl of equipment to use for the duration of the class. This will include everything you need for all the activities. The equipment will have been sanitised before the session and only you will use it during the session. After the class all equipment will be sanitised before it is used again. Where this is not possible while at the venue more equipment has been purchased to ensure all equipment is clean and disinfected for each use.

-          Will we have to wear a face covering?

We'll continue to refer to government guidelines come September. At present adults will be asked to wear face coverings (unless you are exempt) while moving around the building as well as for group activities. However once everyone is settled on their mat you will be able to remove your face-covering for the activities and to interact with baby if you would like to. Of course, if you are more comfortable keeping your mask or visor on during the session you are very welcome to.

Babies and children WILL NOT be asked to wear face coverings.

I will be wearing a face-covering to greet you and while moving around with bubbles or equipment.

-          Will we have to maintain social distancing?

Following all government guidelines, we do need to ask you to maintain social distancing during the sessions. The mats will be spaced out to help maintain distancing throughout the session. We know as mobile babies get more confident that they might want to crawl around and say hello to others. This is completely fine - I'll just ask you to be considered of others and pop on a mask if I need you to retrieve baby for a specific activity.

-          What happens when I arrive and what can I bring with me?

Due to the cleaning procedures we ask that you do not arrive earlier than 10 minutes before the start of your class. On arrival you will be shown where you can leave your shoes/bags and will be guided to your mat. Please only bring essential items with you to the class. Where possible please carry baby in a sling to try and avoid any unnecessary equipment in the venue. If buggy is your only choice, then off course you’d be most welcome to bring it.

In case many people arrive at the same time please form a que outside the door maintaining social distancing so that you can all enter safely one at a time.

Hand sanitiser will be available for you to use on arrival, this is for adult use only. We also encourage you to bring your own hand sanitiser to keep with you at your mat too.

At the end of your class we ask that you collect your things and leave in order (closest to the exit will go first etc to maintain social distancing)

-          Can we use the toilet?

If you need to change a nappy or use the toilet of course you can go! Please ensure you wear your face covering and make your way from the sensory area to the nearest toilet following the most direct route. Please bring your own changing mats and take all nappies/ wipes tide in a nappy bag home with you. In the toilet we will leaving cleaning materials and we ask that you wipe down any touch points after use and discard the wipe in the bins provided.

-          Are we allowed to sing?

Yes, we are!  However, we ask that you sing to your little-one at the same volume you speak (maybe just a tiny bit more😉).

-          Can I bring siblings/ extra people with me?

Unfortunately, we are currently only able to accommodate one adult per child. If you have twins/siblings and want to bring another adult to help you will need to book 2 full price places (if one adult is bringing both siblings, the second sibling is half price). Please contact us of for any sibling bookings.

Baby Sensory – we are unable to have older siblings attending class.

-          What happens if we go into a local or national lockdown?

If we are unable to run the venue-based classes for circumstances out of our control we will continue to run online via Zoom. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer a refund as the online session will be in place of the venue-based class. You'll be invited to join a closed Facebook group with extra classes, content and articles for you and your baby.

-     What if I have any symptoms of Covid 19 or someone I live with is showing symptoms?

Please DO NOT come to classes if you or someone you live with is showing symptoms or has tested positive for Covid 19. Please follow all government guidance for self-isolating. You’d be most welcome to join us online instead.

-          What else do I need to know?

By attending the class, you give us permission to pass your details to NHS track and trace if necessary. Please make sure your mobile number is up to date on our system.

Once you have booked if any of this information changes, we will update you accordingly.
