FAQ’s
Is my baby too young?
Your baby is never too young to start. Scientific research increasingly supports the view that rich sensory experiences from birth can build important neural connections that develop future intelligence. One of the most crucial periods for the development of complex neural connections for intelligence is in the first three months of life. This is the time that the brain shows most plasticity” Dr. Lin Day(PhD., M. Phil., PGCE., FETC., BSc., Dip Ed.)Don’t worry if they have a nod off, this is going to be very new to many of them, plus they still utilise 60% of their senses when napping in this environment – so the learning is still strong!
How incredible is that!J
My baby is mobile and I’m worried about trying to keep then in one place for the session…
You do not need to keep them on your mat – babies are welcome to explore – I will let you know if there is anytime I need you to keep hold of them when I’m setting anything up etc
The class i wanted is full?
Please do book as soon as possible as i am often fully booked across all weekly 15 classes by the time the term starts. If your preferred class is full, book another but email me and i will let you know if an opportunity to swap comes up
The term has started but you have spaces - can i still join?
Absolutely! Each class is different for a whole year - so there is no official 'start' date. The system will pro rata the cost if the term is underway so you only pay for the classes still to come in the term
I have twins - do i pay full price for two babies?
Absolutely not! I appreciate how expensive life is for twin families. Just email me and i will explain how to book in order to just pay for one baby
Do you offer PAYG?
The programme is designed to attend weekly to build on skill sand learning - also - i am usually full with term bookings so PAYG slots are not often available - however - feel free to email me and i can see if i can help
Who teaches the classes?
Every single class through out the week and weekends are taught by owner Sophie who is a multi award winning practioner and has been teaching baby development in MK for 12 years
Can my toddler/mum/husband attend with me?
Partners/grandparents are very welcome to attend with you– I will put chairs out for them to sit on. Unfortunately, I am also not insured for siblings to attend. Please respect that this is a baby only environment – not for pre school siblings.
What if I cannot make the session?
Please let me know if you cannot make a session,
as I may be able to swap you to a different time or day that week depending on availability - i will always try to be flexible!
Do I need to bring anything?
If there is anything specific needed one week, I will always let you know in the FB group and in class – but as a rule – nothing much!
- Socks if it’s a sunny, flip flop bare foot kind of day - please no bare feet on the mats and equipment for sanitary reasons - grippy type socks recommended
- Teething toy for your baby if they need to mouth/chew on an object
- Antibacterial gel for personal use during the session
- A blanket to lay baby on whilst on your allocated mat, so babies are super comfy. (An extra muslin or small blanket to roll up and make into a wedge for babies who suffer with reflux or colic can also be helpful)
