A little bit about me; I am a qualified primary school teacher and have been teaching for ten years now, seven in the classroom and three as an assistant headteacher. I have such a passion for the Early Years and understanding the early developmental stages babies go through. I am looking forward to bringing that passion and enthusiasm to each and every class. I have two children; Leo and Ivy. Why Baby Sensory? I attended classes with my son, Leo when he was just eight weeks old, and was hooked after the first class! I was impressed with the simple and effective format of the classes, and mesmerised at how he responded to the activities. I saw him grow within this class from a baby just watching and listening with wide eyes and smiles at the beautiful sights and sounds around him to a toddler who loved to get involved, clapping and singing and joining in with the friends he made. Leo wasn’t the only one to have made friends; this class is the perfect chance to meet other parents and carers. As a first time mum I was a little daunted in the beginning and since there are no instruction manuals to having babies, this was the ideal opportunity to share the ups and downs with others. I have made some good friends who will remain that way for years to come. These classes made such an impact on me that when the opportunity came up to become part of the Baby Sensory team I jumped at it. I am thrilled to share these classes with you and hope that I can bring the excitement I felt every week to all of you.
