Esther
Hi, my name is Esther and I’m co-owner for Baby Sensory Sheffield the class leader for Greenhill, Crookes and Greystones! I am also Fran’s older sister! I was halfway through my maternity leave with my second baby when the opportunity to run Baby Sensory Sheffield came up, and we can’t quite believe how lucky we are that we get to do this for a job! I I first attended Baby Sensory in 2021 with my oldest boy, and again in 2025 with my little boy. Before Baby Sensory, I worked in specialist education for 12 years, which I loved. The settings I worked in all specialised in therapeutic education, focused on giving the children and young people the crucial key skills they need for life. I also have a strong business background having worked as a for many years as a Business Manager. I’m so excited to be running a company where I can combine my interest in child development and along with managing a business! I love being able to support both babies and parents in my role at Baby Sensory!
Fran
Hi, I’m Fran - co-owner of Baby Sensory Sheffield, and class leader for Heeley, Beighton and Dore. I live in Sheffield and am a mum to two boys. I discovered Baby Sensory with my eldest in 2022. My youngest was just 3 weeks old when we decided to buy Baby Sensory! Prior to running Baby Sensory I had worked in education since I was 18. I’ve worked with all ages from nursery, right the way up to big Y11s! My background is SEND, having worked in special schools, and most recently I was Assistant Headteacher for Inclusion of a primary school, and also led SEND provision for a multi academy trust. It was this work that led me to be so passionate about sensory curriculums, early engagement and shared attention, all of which are key to Baby Sensory. I’m also a trauma informed specialist practitioner, and was a designated teacher for Looked After Children for many years, specialising in attachment. I love that Baby Sensory is not only a lovely hour to spend bonding with your little one, it is completely backed by the most recent science on child development. I can’t wait to meet you all in class!
