I decided not to return to my career in housing and care after the birth of my little girl.
Arya was born at 28 weeks gestation and spent the first few years of her life quite unwell at times. I just felt i needed to be with her rather than at work and i was really fortunate to have this extra time at home with my girl.
Several years later I discussed Baby Sensory with a friend who happened to be a class leader. I managed to get a job working for Pauline a former Baby Sensory Sheffield owner, I fell in love with everything it involved and when Pauline decided to move on I jumped at the chance to take over with my best pal Sarah.
I have now been doing Baby Sensory for 2 years and I really do just love it. I had no idea the impact we would have upon the lives of our families that attend classes. I have cried far to often when babies leave and had so many amazing cuddles and moments in classes. I can also say that some of the families have become great friends of mine.
I truly cannot imagine myself doing anything else :)

I love everything baby sensory! Having attended with all 3 of my children, firstly with my son Charlie over 5 years ago and more recently with my twin girls Lily and Jessica...when the opportunity came up to get more involved with Helen I jumped at the chance. I have been leading classes for only 7 months but I absolutely love it! Me and Helen met when our children were small and grew an amazing friendship through our shared gentle parenting ethos and love of slings...she keeps me sane most weeks!! I love the format of classes and how much the babies enjoy all the different activities. I especially love a puppet show as all my babies would confirm I'm sure! It is wonderful to see the babies grow and develop so amazingly in class and to see them having incredible sensory experiences together. I see mums forming friendships and my classes are always a safe space to chat, share and have fun with your baby. I especially love that I have both mums, dad's, grandparents and even a great grandma in class! I was a baby sensory mum and now I lead classes...I always look forward to my Thursdays :)
