Baby Sensory is the ORGINAL and BEST early learning development programme designed for babies from birth to 13 months. Since is origins over 40 years ago, Baby Sensory has become the leading baby learning and development programme in the UK and has continued to grow both nationally and internationally, winning multiple awards along the way. It is loved by parents and babies alike and we can't wait to share the adventure with you.
What can I expect from Baby Sensory classes?
Classes are run by highly trained practitioners and follow detailed lesson plans.
Every week we explore a different theme and all the activities are carefully researched and planned with specific areas of development in mind. What's great is that the classes are multi-sensory, interactive and no two classes are ever the same.
You and your baby will enjoy a range of activities including music, lights, singing, signing, movement, bubbles, puppets, stories and much more besides. Before each activity we will explain why and how this is supporting learning and development and then you can enjoy some magical bonding time with your baby, safe in the knowledge that you are helping them grow!
We start each session with our chart topping 'Say Hello to the Sun' song and finish with the beautiful 'Wave Goodbye' song. Both of which are hugely popular with babies!
How long does each class last?
Each class lasts an hour.
Each session follows a baby's natural 'play-rest-play' cycle. This means the class is divided into 3 parts. We start with some sensory activities, followed by a break in which babies can explore the equipment freely, then we will finish with a few more sensory activities.
At what age can my child attend Baby Sensory?
Classes are designed for babies from birth to 13 months.
Different classes are provided for babies aged 0-6 months and 6-13 months. There may be some classes for babies aged 0-13 months. Please try to book a class that is most suitable for your baby's needs where possible.

What happens when I arrive at the class?
Due to cleaning procedures, we ask that you do not arrive at class more than 10 minutes before the start of the session.
On arrival you will be asked to leave prams/buggies in a separate room and to remove your shoes. We operate a 'no shoes' policy during the session- please remember bring socks if you are wearing sandals, flip flops etc.
A class register will be taken each session.
Can I bring an extra person with me?
Yes of course! We love it when other family & friends come along. But please do let us know beforehand so we know who to expect & can manage numbers in each class.
What if my baby needs feeding/changing etc?
Please feel free to attend to your baby's needs at any point during the session. You are welcome to feed baby wherever and however you feel most comfortable. We do ask that solid foods are kept away from the main sensory & exploratory play areas in case of allergies.
All of our venues have nappy changing facilities in the toilets or if you would prefer you can change your baby in the main room using your own changing bag/mat.
What if I miss a class?
We are unable to offer refunds for missed sessions. However, if you know in advance that you will be missing a session, we will try and accommodate you in a different class for that week (if there are spaces available.)
Alternatively you can 'gift' your session to a friend who might want to come along in your place.
