Come and experience the magic that is Baby Sensory and discover why your baby is so amazing.

Why should you attend our award-winning classes?

The classes stimulate and engage all five of your baby's senses which promote their cognitive, physical, social and emotional development that can aid early brain development. Engage, delight, and nurture your baby's senses through play.

The sessions are different every week and great fun! The atmosphere is supportive and welcoming led by me- Liz,I am an experienced class leader as well as friendly engaging and always ready to listen.

What is the routine of the session?

The weekly hour long session begins with our unique “Say Hello to the Sun” song and baby sign language, with a different theme each week...diving into underwater worlds, lying beneath jungle vines, having a teddy bears picnic or zooming through space with a variety of sensory activities and developmental games. Massage, bonding activities, or exercise may follow, depending on the age of the babies in the group. The middle part of the session is a great time to try out different equipment in our fantastic exploratory play area. A chance to chat to other parents and make new friends, as well as gaining ideas for activities at home. The session usually ends with a musical activity, a therapeutic or visual experience and the 'Goodbye' signing song. Establishing a wonderful routine for your precious little one as they gain confidence each week.

All the equipment used at Baby Sensory is hygienically and safely cleaned to a very high standard between classes for your piece of mind and for the health and safety of the babies.

A  recommendation from a mum:-
“Baby sensory is amazing. We highly recommend it. My little boy has been going since he was 2 months old. Liz is fantastic, she is so friendly and nurturing. She plans the most amazing and engaging sessions. The resources she uses are beautiful, they are very engaging and support babies learning and development. We have enjoyed all the different themes and activities. It’s also been lovely meeting other mums at class and talking to them during exploratory play. Thanks we have really enjoyed classes”

Frequently asked questions:-

Q: Is it just a ‘Mummy group’?
A: No! We have a large number of Daddies, Grandparents, relatives and carers who come to class each week, contributing to our diverse, warm and welcoming environment.

Q: Will I learn anything from the classes?
A: Absolutely. There is 35 years of expert knowledge and experience behind our lesson plans, we are privileged to share all of this with you! Each activity has a fundamental developmental benefit behind it, you'll leave armed with that knowledge ready to continue the fun and learning with your baby at home.

Q: My partner has the day off work, can they come along too?
A: Yes of course, we just ask for you to let us know in advance so we can make sure there’s plenty of space for everyone in class.

Q:Is my Baby too young to start classes?:

A: Baby Sensory classes are suitable from birth, as soon as you're ready to head out with your new baby then you're more than welcome to attend. The most miraculous advances in your baby's brain structure and function occur in their first three months of life. Early postnatal experiences in a nurturing and stimulating environment play an important role in this development. You and your baby will experience activities that are specifically designed to be safe and suitable for babies from birth and developmental information given to help you play at home in an age/stage appropriate way.The classes are designed from birth and my youngest baby was just 3 days old when she started and she lasted the whole session. Mum said he had a fantastic sleep afterwards. Win, Win! You can start your Baby Sensory journey when you feel ready.

Q:What if my baby goes to sleep?

A: Please don't worry if your precious little one is sleepy - this is totally natural. We follow your baby's natural play-rest-play cycle to ensure they are not overstimulated. If they are relaxed enough to fall asleep they will still process up to 70% of what's going on around them. A great excuse to continue to kiss, cuddle, tickle, sing to them and build a beautiful bond.

Q: What if my baby feeds during the session?
A: You are more than welcome to breast or bottle feed your baby where ever you want to, either stay at your mat or sit at one of the chairs to the side if that's more comfortable for you.

Q: Is my baby too old?
A: If your baby is under 13 months when the term starts then Baby Sensory is for you!

Q: My baby is crawling/walking, can we still come?
A: Definitely! Mobile babies get so much from the sessions. You may find that your baby spends a bit of time in the exploratory play area because they just love all of the exciting things over there, but as soon as an activity captures their attention, they’ll be zooming right back.

Q:What is the difference between the 6 to 13 months classes and the 0 to 13 months classes?     A: The activities are the same in both classes, The 0 to 13 months class is there if people prefer an afternoon class to the morning, if they want to come along with a friend who's baby is of a different age,ie younger or older than your baby. The only difference is that the age range is wider and has  movers and  non movers in the class.
