Baby Sensory
Baby Sensory provides ideas for creative play, massage, tummy time, movement, visual development, textures, scents and music in simple practical ways that can be easily repeated at home. We also use a combination of original and traditional songs and rhymes to develop early speech and language skills, and sensory signing activities to help you and your baby communicate from birth.
Sessions run from our bespoke Baby Sensory WOW Centre on Aintree Lane L10 2JJ (Formerly Holy Rosary Parish Centre) on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Sessions last 1 hour and include structured activities and free-flow play in our exploratory play area with carefully chosen toys and props to aid your little ones learning and development, as well as all important social time for grown ups!
We offer a 0-6 month class perfect for babies who are not yet mobile and a 6 to 13 month class (sitting to walking). Our age brackets are a guide and the ideal age at the beginning of the term you are booking. A mixed age range class is also available, perfect for friends wishing to attend together with different age babies.
Typically a term is 6 weeks priced at £54; payable at the time of booking via the website. If you are joining and a term has already begun, you will only pay for the remaining sessions in the term. (Missed sessions cannot be refunded. All session times are on a first come first serve basis)
Hello Baby
For the youngest of babies, from birth - 12 weeks old.
Specifically designed for babies from birth to 3 months, Dr Lin Day, founder of Baby Sensory and one of the UK's leading parenting experts, has developed the Hello Baby course to help support parents through the early weeks and months of their baby's life.
"Your baby communicates with you from the moment they enter the world. We look at how your baby responds to the world, what they can do, what they find difficult or stressful, and how you can help them grow and develop in the first 3 months of life." Dr Lin Day.
With smaller class sizes and specially designed activities for newborns, this is an ideal first class to attend where you will develop loving touch techniques through baby massage, reflexology, yoga, sensory integration and containment.
During this unique New Baby course you will learn new techniques that can help calm and relax your baby and promote sleep, as well be part of a social experience where you can make friends with parents going through the same worries, challenges and celebrations as you are.
My 7 week Hello Baby course at the Baby Sensory WOW centre Aintree includes:
One x 60 minute newborn Observation session where we will provide you with an insight into what your baby can do or finds stressful, how your baby communicates with you, self soothes and how you can provide comfort; and
1 x '3 Cs' workshop (topics include Colic/Comfort/Crying)
During our 3 Cs workshops we discover the 5 main cries that babies use to communicate with you, explore the causes of colic and how to reduce or manage the symptoms and discover comfort techniques that effectively restore balance.
5 x Hello Baby Sessions (including baby massage, reflexology, baby yoga, comfort techniques and sensory activities) concentrating on a different area of the body each week. A perfect way to begin your Baby Sensory journey, and your own journey as a new parent. This course is an ideal one to book for the very youngest of babies.
Special Events
From time to time we hold one off special weekend classes, perfect for anyone who is unable to commit to a full term of classes or has returned to work, and to celebrate special occasions such as Babies first Christmas, Mothers Day and Fathers Day and Valentines!
